"The artist and the photographer seek the mysteries and the adventure of experience in nature." - Ansel Adams Once again, we've gathered art from five of our favourite recently discovered artists, who use the wild natural world as their subject or inspiration, so without further ado...
Phuong Nguyen (Norway) Phuon is a designer and digital artist based in Oslo, whose digital art is 'heavily inspired by the relationship between nature, wildlife, and humans.' Although he takes on freelance client work, his pages also feature his own personal projects- brimming with clean vector pieces of endless, tranquil spacey landscapes and often singular birds, mammals and humans as subjects. Perfect inspiration for dreaming at dusk and clearing your head... Website: http://www.phuong.no/ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/phuongdotno Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/goldenhymn90/
Mike Schultz (Portland/Thailand/Myanmar)
Mike is an printmaker, oil painter, and illustrator who has spent his life living and working from New York to Thailand/Myanmar and now in Portland, Oregon. We have particularly fallen in love with these mixed media cheetahs, both entitled the 'blue and gold huntress'. Mike used his own handmade Burmese gold leaf for the detail, with gritty coloured pencil dust and several different types of inks- all of which have been printed on damp paper. The first piece is the gold plate on which he created the design and the second was printed from the first- both, totally beautiful. As well as his personal artwork, whilst Mike was in both Thailand and Myanmar he worked on a couple of projects to established art studios and schemes to teach young migrants art skills, which you can find out more about here: http://kck.st/2uhfsPX Website: https://mikeschultzstudio.squarespace.com/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/mike_schultz_studio/

Juliette Oberndorfer (France) Juliette is a French concept artist, whose fantasy artworks are led by the kings and queens of the forest- from her majestic lion to her loyal pack of wolves- all of whose yellow, bare eyes illuminate each peaceful, uniquely coloured piece. She has created a world of nature that you'd love to disappear into, and with only one animation that we can find (over here on Vimeo: https://vimeo.com/52179662) we are dying to get further immersed into it through more moving image. Marc Martinillo (Australia) Marc is an illustrator, artist, designer and author based in Melbourne. He has published a handful of nature inspired books, from 'A Forest' to 'The Curious Explorers Illustrated Guide to Exotic Animals A-Z'... Many of his rich, striking works are in watercolour, such as these bird pieces, which we think are yellow tailed black cockatoos and emus. Really, really stunning. Audrey Malo (Sorel/Montreal) Irresistibly pretty pieces here from Audrey Malo, who is an artist born and raised in Sorel, Quebec and who now lives and works in Montreal. These pieces focus on the gentle impalas and both resting and migrating Canada geese, using a unique, soft colour palette that shows off the nature of the wildlife she's illustrating. Follow her Instagram for lots of experimenting, or her website for finished pieces.
